Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Cipatex entered the search for innovative solutions and, in partnership with the nanotechnology company Nanox, developed synthetic antiviral coatings, capable of inactivating 99.72% of the Sars-CoV-2 virus in three minutes of contact. To achieve the virucidal effect, the synthetic laminates were added with silica and silver-based microparticles. The silver present in the additive promotes the oxidation of the RNA barrier of the virus, inactivating it. This technology was made available in products from the furniture, automotive, and gym equipment, since the products used in these sectors are subject to high traffic of people.
