Graboplast has developed a new sports floor for low-weight athletes that guarantees better protection. The athlete landing hard on the ground can sustain a significant blow, with the floor playing a role in dampening the impact. The special foam system flexibly transforms the resulting energy and transmits it to the ground, thus protecting the athlete’s skeletal system. This is especially important for low-weight athletes, as in order to activate the protective functions, they need to achieve deformation of the foam system, which is why traditional harder systems need to be adapted. The active part of this Graboplast product is made up of three layers of PVC foam, which is key to the solution.
