Developed by the occupational therapist Grace Gasparini, the Adjusted PVC Furniture project creates lightweight furnishings and equipment for needy children with neuromotor dysfunctions. The project gathers wires, pipes, connectors, sheets and other products made of PVC and turns them into shower chairs, positioning chairs, walkers and adjustable tables. Medical students can learn the technique from workshops at two institutions of higher learning.
