Here’s where a rooftop or wall surface has two sides to the story. Edil Plast, a division of First Corporation, has developed Cover Life for industry and private use that has a different colour on each side and is made in part from recycled materials. Beating sheet metal competitors hands-down.
“It’s high design with two aesthetic surfaces, made with thermoplastic raw materials of various colours, without heavy metals,” says Alessandro Spada, R&D Manager at First Corporation, a company with more than a half-century of experience. “They’re UV- and weather-resistant, coextruded with PVC resins plus 30% recovered materials.”
“That accelerates the trend toward a green and circular economy while respecting both environmental and health standards,” Alessandro says.
Cover-Life undergoes thermoforming called Polim-Cryl, a patented layered compound that follows tough certification standards for eco-compatibility. It also optimises energy-savings to avoid heat loss.
For instance, Cover-Life’s Ondina Bi-Color roofing sheet is mainly for small buildings. It comes in coral red with dark gray or olive green with natural brick colours. Cover-Life can look like traditional roofs, such as tiles, roof tiles and slates.
“And a tip for our authorized dealers: this dual-color product allows them to halve the stock!,” says Alessandro.
