Together with coffee skins or husks used as a filler, Vowalon has succeeded in using a bio-based phthalate-free plasticiser for PVC coatings for a wide range of uses, including car seat covers. Using 51% recycled material, Vowalon developed new types of PVC formulations and the technological steps for producing coatings. The main objective of the development: to ensure that with the bio-based plasticiser, the PVC synthetic leather would have at least the same physical, optical and haptic properties as conventional products based on fossil plasticisers.
